Egypt Confirms Normal Air Traffic Operations, Heightens Readiness Amid Regional Developments
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Cairo, June 24 (Petra) – Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed Tuesday that air traffic across the country's airspace and at all national airports remains fully operational and uninterrupted, adding that the situation is being closely monitored around the clock by the ministry's central operations and crisis management teams in full coordination with relevant state bodies.
In an official statement, the ministry emphasized that Egyptian airspace is functioning efficiently and safely and that flight operations at all airports across the republic are proceeding normally.
The ministry noted that a state of maximum alert has been declared at Cairo International Airport and other major airports in anticipation of rerouted flights that may be diverted to Egyptian airports due to ongoing regional developments. It stressed the full operational, technical, and staffing readiness to accommodate any such shifts.
It also confirmed ongoing direct coordination with all airlines operating in Egypt to maintain seamless air traffic and ensure the highest standards of safety and service.
