The department's diving team also performed more than four underwater missions aimed at inspecting submerged environments and ensuring legal compliance beneath the water surface.

The Ministry intensified its crackdown on illegal activities in Qatar's waters. As a result, authorities confiscated 61 illegal fishing nets that posed a threat to marine life. They also seized 28 long fishing lines (known as“kheita”) that were being used unlawfully. Furthermore, 14 unauthorized fishing cages (Qaraqeer) were discovered and removed from marine areas.

The enforcement teams also confiscated more than 13 unauthorized spotlights used for night fishing, seized over 13 illegal bird-trapping tools (ma'daa), and impounded more than 7 multi-headed harpoons used in prohibited fishing practices.

The department's efforts extended beyond enforcement to include public engagement and environmental awareness. It participated in three environmental events aimed at raising awareness and community involvement. The team organized two training workshops to promote sustainable marine practices.

In support of institutional collaboration, the department also held over three coordination meetings with key partners and stakeholders. Additionally, it launched more than four clean-up campaigns targeting coastal and marine areas to support ecological preservation and environmental health.

These achievements highlight the Ministry's unwavering commitment to protecting Qatar's marine environment and reinforcing sustainable practices in line with the nation's environmental goals.

Through a combination of rigorous monitoring, law enforcement, and community involvement, the Ministry continues to play a pivotal role in safeguarding marine biodiversity and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
