Kuwait’s Armed Forces states missiles spotted weren't in its airspace
(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Armed Forces announced Monday that the ballistic missiles recently spotted in the skies were not within the country’s airspace and do not represent a threat to national security.
According to official statements shared on social media, the missiles in question were traveling at very high altitudes and remained outside Kuwaiti territorial boundaries. The military emphasized that there was no danger to the country or its population.
This clarification came in response to widespread speculation and public concern over social media reports about visible missile activity.
On the previous day, Kuwait’s National Guard reaffirmed that it is maintaining continuous surveillance of the nation’s radiological and chemical conditions. Authorities confirmed that everything remains “normal and stable.”
Although Kuwait has stayed neutral and uninvolved in the direct hostilities plaguing the region, its geographic position makes it vulnerable to fallout from nearby conflicts. The country sits just across the sea from Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Reactor, approximately 300 kilometers away, placing it in close proximity to a key strategic site.
