Qatar, IAEA Director General Discuss Israeli Attack On Iranian Nuclear Facilities
Doha, Qatar: Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, today, June 17, 2025, held a phone call with HE Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
During the call, the two sides discussed the latest developments related to the recent Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as ways to enhance the security of nuclear facilities and ensure they are not exposed to any threats that could undermine regional and international security.
The Minister pointed out that targeting nuclear facilities poses a serious threat to regional and international security and peace, stressing that the State of Qatar is making strenuous efforts with its partners to return to the path of dialogue among all parties to address outstanding issues and consolidate security and peace in the region and the world.
He further reiterated Qatar's strong condemnation of the Israeli attack on Iranian territory, describing it as a flagrant violation of Iran's sovereignty and security and a clear breach of the rules and principles of international law.
