ParTec AG: Europe's first exascale supercomputer 'JUPITER' achieves top position in the TOP500 list of the world's fastest supercomputers - milestone for Europe's AI sovereignty Munich, 10 June 2025 - The exascale supercomputer 'JUPITER', developed and built in a leading partnership with ParTec AG (ISIN: DE000A3E5A34 / WKN: A3E5A3), was today listed as Europe's fastest supercomputer in the TOP500 list and ranks 4th globally. At the same time, JUPITER is the most energy-efficient system among the top five on the list, which was also presented today at the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) in Hamburg. This places JUPITER among the world's most powerful and energy-efficient supercomputers in scientific high-performance computing, and it is specially optimized for the requirements of artificial intelligence. JUPITER thus makes a strategically important contribution to Europe's technological sovereignty. JUPITER is provided by a supercomputer consortium of ParTec AG and Eviden and is based on the dynamic Modular System Architecture (dMSA) developed by ParTec AG and the ParaStation Modulo Software Suite - both of which play a key role in the performance and flexibility of the supercomputer. Bernhard Frohwitter, CEO of ParTec AG, states: 'We are very pleased about JUPITER's excellent position in the international TOP500 ranking. With its high computing performance, JUPITER will offer completely new possibilities and answer scientific questions on the most pressing issues of our time. Thanks to its modularity, JUPITER can also be expanded to include further applications and additional computers in the future.' About ParTec ParTec AG specialises in the development and manufacture of AI supercomputers based on its modular High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and Quantum Computers (QC) as well as the associated system software. The offering also includes consulting and support services in all areas of the development, construction, and operation of these modern systems. The concept of dynamic Modular System Architecture (dMSA) is the result of more than fifteen years of research and was developed by ParTec as a novel system design for massively parallel high computing systems. The dMSA and the underlying ParaStation Modulo Software Suite, which has been developed and is maintained by ParTec, have proven to be particularly suitable for the complex requirements of massive computing power in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
