Iran, Pakistan Join Efforts to Combat Terrorism

(MENAFN) An Iranian news outlet has reported that Iran and Pakistan have committed to intensifying their joint efforts to combat terrorism along their shared frontier. This decision emerged during high-level talks in Tehran on Tuesday between Iran's top military official, Mohammad Baqeri, and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir.

During the meeting, Baqeri stated that both nations' military forces are "decisively determined" to eliminate terrorist threats along the border. He highlighted the ongoing coordination between the Iranian and Pakistani armed forces, describing their joint efforts to secure the frontier as "effective and valuable." Baqeri stressed the importance of maintaining and enhancing bilateral military cooperation at every level.

Asim Munir echoed the importance of deepening defense collaboration, noting the Iranian military's "valuable experiences" in multiple areas. He affirmed Pakistan’s longstanding intent to strengthen its security partnership with Iran, particularly in counterterrorism measures along the mutual border.
