Pakistan Maintains Flight Ban on India for Another Month

(MENAFN) Pakistan has decided to prolong its prohibition on all Indian flights flying through its airspace for an additional month, according to an official statement released by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Friday. This move extends the existing restrictions originally put in place earlier this year.

The PCAA issued a formal Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), clarifying that the ban covers every aircraft that is registered in India or operated, owned, or leased by Indian airlines and operators. The directive explicitly includes military flights, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the airspace closure. The restriction is now scheduled to continue until June 23, 2025.

This airspace ban was first enforced on April 24, 2025, as tensions between the two neighboring countries escalated. The continued extension underlines the ongoing diplomatic and security challenges impacting civil aviation between Pakistan and India.
