(MENAFN) India has announced plans to send seven multi-party delegations to various countries and the United Nations Security Council to present its case against alleged terrorism originating from Pakistan. According to a statement from India’s Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the delegations will highlight India’s firm stance on combating terrorism and its zero-tolerance policy. The delegations will include 31 members from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and 20 opposition party politicians, supported by former diplomats.

This initiative was conceived after India felt its military response to a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, known as Operation Sindoor, received inadequate coverage in international media. Several Western outlets were accused of presenting a pro-Pakistan view of the confrontation. The delegations will visit 32 countries, including stops at the EU headquarters in Belgium. The first group will visit the Middle East, followed by delegations traveling to the EU, UK, Japan, Southeast Asia, the UAE, Africa, the US, and several South American countries. The final groups will tour Spain, Greece, Russia, Egypt, and South Africa.

In response, Pakistan announced its own counter-diplomatic measures, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sending a team of diplomats to major global capitals, including London, Washington, Paris, and Brussels, to challenge India's narrative. Former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will lead the Pakistani delegation.
