
MCIT Concludes 'AI Business Strategy And Innovation' Programme In France With Microsoft And INSEAD
Doha: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), through Qatar Digital Academy (QDA), announced the conclusion of the training programme 'AI Business Strategy and Innovation', which was organised in cooperation with Microsoft and the European Institute of Business Administration“INSEAD,” one of the world's leading educational institutions. The programme was held at INSEAD's campus in Fontainebleau, France, from May 12 to 14, 2025.
This programme comes as part of MCIT's ongoing efforts to develop executive leadership within the government sector. It was designed to equip participants with a comprehensive strategic vision of the potential and applications of artificial intelligence (AI), and to empower them to leverage AI as an effective tool to foster innovation and enhance institutional performance.
Over three days, a group of senior government leaders participated in hands-on interactive sessions and practical workshops that explored the latest global trends in AI.
These sessions featured real-world case studies and inspiring experiences from various sectors, offering participants valuable insights into practical solutions and emerging technologies that can be harnessed to improve government service efficiency.
The programme also enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities AI presents in today's evolving work environment-particularly amid the rapid shift toward a digital economy.
This, in turn, enhances their ability to shape policies and lead strategic digital initiatives with greater effectiveness.
In this context, H E Reem Mohammed Al Mansouri, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT, emphasized the strategic importance of the program and its success in achieving its objectives, stating:“The AI Business Strategy and Innovation program has proven its significance in empowering leaders in the government sector with the latest skills and advanced AI knowledge, contributing to building a network of digital leaders empowered of driving strategic initiatives, setting priorities, and leading digital transformation projects with high efficiency..
With the rapid pace of technological advancements, our ultimate goal remains to improve the efficiency of the government sector and elevate the quality of services provided to our community.”
She added:“At the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, we place great emphasis on developing the government sector talents and enhancing their digital readiness. Our investment in Qatar Digital Academy and establishing strategic partnerships with global institutions such as Microsoft and INSEAD is part of our efforts to strengthen digital transformation, achieve the Digital Agenda 2030 goals, and build a sustainable digital future.”
The interactive learning environment in France, combined with INSEAD's academic expertise, enriched participants' experiences on multiple levels through a blend of theory and practice, including open discussions, group exercises, and global case studies.
This enabled direct interaction with international experts and diverse perspectives on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance institutional performance and government decision-making.
The program also fostered knowledge exchange among government leaders, creating opportunities for collaboration and role alignment in executing in digital transformation initiatives.
This comprehensive experience strengthened participants' leadership skills, equipping them with strategies to effectively utilize AI for innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable government services.
