Jordan Reiterates Rejection Of Any Attempt To Displace Palestinians

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, April 22 (KUNA) -- King Abdullah II, of Jordan, reaffirmed the kingdom's opposition to any attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities to evict the Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
He renewed, during his meeting with staffers of the US congress on Tuesday, the call for restoring the ceasefire in Gaza, resumption of the aid delivery to the Palestinians, and deescalating the attacks on the West Bank and the holy shrines in Jerusalem.
The meeting also dealt with the Jordanian-US strategic partnership and the pivotal role of the United States in the Middle East region, according to a statement from the royal court. (end)
