MSL UK Launches Corporate & Sustainability Offer
(MENAFN- PRovoke)
LONDON - MSL UK has appointed Lara Cornwall as managing partner, corporate and sustainability, a newly-created role that draws upon expertise within the Publicis agency and its sister sustainability consultancy, Salterbaxter.
Cornwall (pictured) joins from strategic communications firm Blakeney, where she had been a partner for the past three years. Before that, she was at BCW (now Burson) for more than nine years, latterly as a senior director within the corporate division, working across sectors including FMCG, financial services, education, and infrastructure across global markets.
Rebecca Grant, CEO of the influence practice at Publicis Groupe UK – which includes MSL, Salterbaxter, Taylor Herring and Publicis Sport & Entertainment – previously worked with Cornwall at BCW, where Grant was UK CEO until joining Publicis a year ago.
Grant told PRovoke Media that the new offer and Cornwall's appointment was a response to a fast-evolving environment for businesses, with increasing demand for support in reputation management and transparent corporate communications.
“The landscape is changing so rapidly and businesses are questioning what's right for them and how to behave authentically, so we're bringing in a strong leader to bridge the gap between strategic corporate counsel, sustainability and responsibility.
“Lara's got expertise in spades in terms of understanding corporate reputation and what it takes for businesses to succeed today, but it's also about her personality – she's so full of energy and razor-sharp, and that combination is amazing.”
Grant also said the appointment underlined Publicis Groupe UK's commitment to responsible business and would enable MSL and Salterbaxter to continue to deliver integrated corporate and sustainability communications, which also includes specialisms in reporting, employee experience, leadership communications and risk mitigation.
“We're thinking about the value we can add when our brands collaborate, and moving it forward. For instance, Publicis Sport & Entertainment is incredibly strong in sponsorship rights management, and we're working more together to bolster and activate those sponsorships through brand experience with St Marks Studios, and consume, social and influencer through Taylor Herring and MSL.
“It's not a new strategy – the 'Power of One' philosophy is felt throughout Publicis and we already put the best integrated team together for the brief – but it's exciting to discover all our brilliant capabilities in areas from employee experience to creativity, and proactively think about where our complementary strengths are.”
In her new role, Cornwall will work alongside Salterbaxter managing partner Steve Lindsay to create a cohesive approach to sustainability consultancy and communication, as well as collaborating with MSL managing partners Jess Gross and Laura Watts, under the leadership of MD Jo Grierson.
Cornwall said“Businesses continue to face a complex landscape as they navigate pressure from customers, stakeholders, and employees to demonstrate value. I am delighted to join the brilliant MSL and Salterbaxter teams and to be working together to offer our roster of clients senior counsel, deep industry knowledge, and new capabilities to respond to the headwinds they're facing in 2025.”
