Cybersecurity Threats in Bermuda: "Whaling" and "Spear Phishing" Attacks Lead to Financial Loss

Senator Jeff Baron, Bermuda’s national security minister, issued a warning about these threats, urging residents to be cautious as they become more common following similar attacks in the United States.

To combat this rising threat, the Bermuda Government has partnered with Secure Messaging Systems to offer RMail, an advanced e-mail service designed to provide security against such attacks. RMail offers robust protections, including anti-whaling technology, encryption, and certified delivery proof. With the latest updates for Microsoft Outlook and Office 365, this service aims to shield users from falling victim to these types of scams, ensuring secure communication for high-value electronic transactions.
