Ukraine, Norway Discuss Defense Partnership

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and Minister of Labour and Inclusion Tonje Brenna in Kyiv.

The discussions focused on various aspects of defense industry collaboration, bolstering energy resilience, and advancing recovery initiatives.

Sybiha shared in a post on X that the meeting came after agreements made the previous week during a visit by Ukrainian Leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Oslo, where he met Norwegian Premier Jonas Gahr Store.

“I am grateful to the Norwegian government, parliament, municipalities, and all Norwegians for their unwavering and long-standing support for Ukraine in our fight for freedom, security, and shared principles,” Sybiha expressed.

The talks additionally covered food security as well as other urgent matters. Furthermore, Sybiha provided an update to the Norwegian delegation on Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts, which include ongoing negotiations in Saudi Arabia with the goal of reaching a “fair peace.”
