SRH Named To Fast Company's Annual List Of The World's Most Innovative Companies Of 2025

(MENAFN- PR Newswire) Fast Company's annual list honors businesses that are redefining industries and culture through innovation, setting new benchmarks and achieving remarkable milestones across the global economy. Hundreds of Beavers caught the attention of Fast Company's editors for its cult-like fan following, inventive guerrilla marketing strategies, and impressive profitability-especially notable in an era where independent filmmaking faces shrinking budgets and limited support from major distributors. Other recipients of the award in the film and television category include Pixar, Netflix, FX, and Maximum Effort.

Watch the case study here to see how SRH generated tens of millions in impressions and ad value with only $35,000 in total media spend.

"It's bleak out there for indie filmmakers, and most of their movies go straight to streaming without any chance of breaking through," says Kurt Ravenwood , head strategist at SRH and creative director of the campaign. "Everything we do at SRH is about helping under-the-radar brands gain traction, so when traditional distributors balked at putting a black-and-white, dialogue-free indie film in cinemas, we knew we could create the momentum needed to find our audience."

"It certainly helps that the movie is fantastic," Ravenwood added.

Fast Company called Hundreds of Beavers "a kind of Rocky Horror Picture Show for Gen Z" and credited SRH's unconventional marketing, which included costumed characters, live stunts, and raucous Q&As, for turning an oddball film into the hottest event of the year.

SRH reached into its fame-building toolbox to land write-ups in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Empire magazine while building an active following and stoking the fire socially by releasing daily beaver parody posters-several of which were shared hundreds of thousands of times.

"We approached the film like we do any brand: find something distinctive and then make sure it gets noticed over and over again until it feels familiar and inescapable," says Matt Sabljak, partner and president of SRH. "That's how you make a weirdo silent film 'made by a bunch of nobodies in the Midwest,' as one journalist said, more alluring to a wide audience-make it seem both totally unique and totally familiar at the same time. That's our bread and butter with brands."

The World's Most Innovative Companies is Fast Company's hallmark franchise and one of its most anticipated editorial features each year. Honorees are selected after rigorous evaluation by Fast Company's editors and writers, who review thousands of submissions to identify companies pushing boundaries and driving progress across industries-ranging from emerging startups to some of the world's most influential brands.

"This year's list offers both a snapshot of innovation today and a roadmap for the future," said Fast Company Editor-in-Chief Brendan Vaughan. "We're recognizing companies harnessing AI in transformative ways, brands turning customers into superfans by exceeding expectations, and challengers introducing bold ideas and much-needed competition. In a world of constant change, these companies are lighting the way forward."
