Over 900 Worshippers Performing Itikaf At Dar-Ul-Uloom Raheemiya

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- More than 900 worshippers have gathered at Dar
Uloom Raheemiya, one of North Kashmir's largest Islamic seminaries, to observe Itikaf during Ramadzan.

The seminary, renowned for its long-standing tradition of hosting large Itikaf gatherings, attracts spiritual seekers from across the country and abroad. According to its management, the institution prepares approximately 230 plates of food per meal, each serving four people, ensuring organized meal distribution for the Itikaf participants.

Itikaf, a practice where individuals isolate themselves in mosques for intensive prayer and religious reflection, holds significant importance in Ramazan. The large gathering at Dar
Uloom Raheemiya also highlights the spirit of community service, as volunteers play a crucial role in assisting those in Itikaf.

Shahid Ahmad, a local volunteer, said,“Serving those in Itikaf is a blessing for us. We wake up before Sehri to prepare food and ensure that everything is ready on time. It is tiring but rewarding.”

The seminary follows a structured schedule, with Quranic recitations, prayers, and religious discussions throughout the ten-day period. Muneeb Hussain, a volunteer from Bandipora, emphasized the sense of brotherhood among participants.“People from different places come here, but we all work together as one family. Seeing them break their fast peacefully makes all our efforts worthwhile,” he said.
