Igor Tudor Becomes New Head Coach of Serie A Club Juventus
(MENAFN) Juventus parted ways with head coach Thiago Motta on Sunday and appointed Igor Tudor as his successor.
"Igor Tudor is the new Head Coach of the Men’s First Team. Welcome, Igor! Juventus thanks Thiago Motta for his work, passion and dedication during his time with the club," Juventus posted on X.
Motta’s tenure ended following a series of disappointing results, including a 4-0 loss to Atalanta in Serie A on March 9 and a 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina on March 16, which led to his departure.
Tudor, 46, has previously served as an assistant coach at Juventus from 2020 to 2021.
He has managed clubs in Italy, including Udinese, Hellas Verona, as well as Lazio. The Croatian coach also gained experience in Turkey, having managed Kardemir Karabukspor in 2016-2017 and Galatasaray in 2017.
