Israeli attacks on Lebanon leave six dead, several injured

(MENAFN) On Saturday, more than 6 individuals lost their lives, and 31 others sustained injuries in a series of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, as released by Lebanese authorities.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that an Israeli airstrike on the town of Touline in southern Lebanon’s Marjayoun district resulted in the deaths of five individuals, one of whom is a child, while injuring 11 others.

In eastern Lebanon’s Baalbek-Hermel governorate, airstrikes targeted the towns of Housh al-Sayyid and Saraain, leaving six individuals wounded.

Additionally, on late Saturday, an Israeli drone attack hit a parking lot in the al-Raml neighborhood of Tyre, leaving four individuals wounded, as per a preliminary report from the Health Ministry.

The airstrikes were carried out in response to an alleged rocket attack from Lebanon that hit the Israeli settlement of Metula, leading Israeli forces to launch retaliatory strikes on multiple locations in southern Lebanon.
