Rainy, Cold Weather Conditions Forecast For Today - JMD
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Mar. 21 (Petra)-- The Kingdom will continue to be impacted by a cold, humid air mass. The temperature will continue to decline, falling by 9 to 10 degrees Celsius below normal for this season.
The weather will be cold and partly to mainly cloudy, with sporadic rain showers in the Kingdom's north and center, occasionally extending for brief periods of time to a few areas in the southwest and east, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) assessment.
Early in the morning, there is a chance of light snow showers over the high mountain peaks in the north and south. The westerly winds will be moderate and occasionally strong. In general, the likelihood of rain decreases during night.
In its report, the JMD warns of the possibility of fog formation, particularly over high mountainous locations, resulting in severely restricted horizontal visibility.
Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 6 degrees Celsius and a low of 2 degrees.
Highs in the port city of Aqaba will reach 20 degrees during the day, sliding to 11 degrees at night.
