1998 -- Kuwait Ports Authority establishes custom warehouses at Doha harbor where traders from neighboring countries can display their commodities.
2000 -- The National Assembly approves a bill setting start of the fiscal year on April 1, instead of July 1, to give more time to the government for deep examination of the budget ahead of the parliament's summer recess, whereupon the financial year begins on April 1 and ends on March 31.
2004 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues a decree setting up the center for voluntary action, a body affiliated to the cabinet.
2001 -- The Arab Parliament elects by acclamation member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly and the Arab Parliament, Ali Al-Degbasi, as chairperson, succeeding the Libyan legislator Hoda bin Amera who was relieved of her duties.
2012 -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation inaugurates a digital library specialized in oil and affiliate industries publications.
2018 -- The Ministry of Interior declares Guinness' honoring of Captain Mohammad Bou-Rabie from the General Department of Traffic for winning 21 gold medals in 11 years from the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM).
