
J&K VIP Visits Cost Rs 1.23 Crore In 2024-25
In response to a cut motion by MLA Shopian, Shabir Ahmad Kullay, the government stated that Rs 14,85,94,471 was incurred on chartered flights since 2021, following codal formalities. It also confirmed that no chartered flights were used before 2021.
Additionally, the government disclosed that Rs 1,23,12,245 was spent on VIP visits to Jammu & Kashmir during the 2024-25 financial year.
“The expenditure is within the sanctioned budgetary allocation, with each expense accounted for and subject to periodic audits to ensure transparency and fiscal discipline,” the government stated.
It further clarified that the spending on VIP visits follows established protocols to facilitate their smooth conduct.
