Over 322 Palestinians killed, missing amid renewed Israel offensives in Gaza

(MENAFN) In a tragic escalation, Gaza authorities reported on Tuesday morning that more than 322 Palestinians were either killed or missing within just five hours as Israel renewed its military offensive, ending a nearly two-month ceasefire.

The Israeli military confirmed launching airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, marking the largest assault since the truce with Hamas began on January 19.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 254 bodies have been recovered and taken to hospitals, alongside 440 injured individuals. The Ministry also stated: “Many victims remain under the rubble as efforts are underway to recover them.”

The Gaza Government Media Office highlighted that entire families were among those killed in the attacks, emphasizing that ambulances and civil defense teams are overwhelmed and unable to reach all victims.

In a strongly worded statement, the office condemned the violence, stating: "These brutal massacres confirm once again that the Israeli occupation army only knows the language of killing, destruction, and genocide."
