ISO Certification For Indian High School
The certification came after an ISO audit carried out at the school inspecting thorougly its curriculum transaction, information technology facilities, laboratories, co-curricular activities, question paper design, staff recruitment, administrative set-up, among other areas.
Congratulating the IHS staff and teachers on achieving this distinction, Mr Buxani said: "The success is a direct outcome of a new strategy that the school has recently adopted for inspiring academic excellence. The strategy focusses heavily on building state-of-the-art infrastructure, integrating information technology in the classroom and facilitating innovations in curriculum transaction," he said, manifesting the management's commitment towards initiating a paradigm shift in the interpretation of modern school education in the region.
Ashok Kumar, principal of the school, said that the ISO 9001-2000 certification received from the UK-based Lloyds Register is the ultimate international stamp of quality for an organisation.
He noted that receiving the ISO certification is quite distinct from other recognitions received by the school todate. "The other awards mark the successful culmination to a long and arduous journey, while the receipt of the ISO certificate is in fact the beginning. A system of surveillance audit (bi-annual) will ensure that the procedures are constantly reviewed and objectives revised."
Around 56 teachers and support staff as well as team members engaged in every aspect of the ISO certification procedures were also honoured by the school management.
