Myanmar eradicates 48 acres of poppy in Shan state


(MENAFN) According to a news agency reports that were released on Wednesday, Myanmar's police recently eradicated 48 acres of opium poppy grounds in Shan state's eastern region.

The poppy fields were situated in Hopong town, part of the Pa-O self-governed area within Shan state, according to the report.

The report also mentioned that the crops, grown with irrigation methods, were eliminated over the period from March 3 to March 10.
