Green Science Alliance Made Bio Based Biodegradable Plasticizer From Waste Cooking Oil And Plant Based Ingredients

(MENAFN- PR Newswire) Plastics are composed of main resin and many additives such as stabilizer, frame retardant, plasticizer, nucleating agent, ultraviolet light absorbent and anti-oxidant etc...Among them, especially plasticizers are important additives since they can provide flexibility and elasticity, to rubber, elastomers, plastics and resins. Plasticizers offer flexibility, elasticity to those materials so that they can be processed or molded easily at the mass production. Then after, they can be used to various types of applications such as food package, rubber glove, shoes, electric cable jacket, automotive components, flooring, wall paper, paints, housing and building etc...

In a modern society, there are several types of plasticizers such as phthalic acid base, trimellitic Acid base, cis-4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid base, adipic acid base, phosphoric acid base and polyester base etc... and all of them are made from petroleum. They do not have biodegradability and emit CO2 after disposal. Especially phthalic acid based plasticizers are harmful to the environment and human health because they enter into our human body through nanoplastics pollution.

In this regard, Green Science Alliance have developed bio based plasticizers from waste cooking oil and plant based ingredients. There are some bio based plasticizers such as polyester base, citric acid base and soybean oil epoxy base although as far as we know, none of plasticizers are made from organic waste such as waste cooking oils. Since these types of plasticizers are made from organic waste and plant based materials, they can be said contributing reducing the amount of CO2 emission, and sustainable because they are reutilizing organic waste. On top of that, these plasticizers are biodegradable so that they are harmless to the environment and human health.

These waste cooking oil and plant ingredients based plasticizers can be used to natural rubber, NBR (Nitrile Rubber), EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), CR (PolyChloroprene Rubber), PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride), various types of elastomers, resin, plastics, paints and glue etc...

Green Science Alliance is proceeding to give out samples to customers and expand business to the world market.
