Brand Madness: Chasing Logos Or Losing Self-Worth?

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Brand consciousness has become a trend these days, with people obsessing over owning expensive branded items just to feel elite and stylish. But is this worth it?

People who go overboard with brand obsession often lose their uniqueness and self-worth in the process. They believe that wearing high-end brands will make them stand out, but in reality, they just blend into the crowd of brand-driven individuals.

I've seen people struggling to make ends meet, yet when it comes to branded items, they go to extreme lengths-risking their financial stability, even their families' well-being-just to compete with those who can effortlessly afford luxury. Let me clarify-I'm not against buying branded products. Not at all. The real issue is when people start prioritizing brands over their basic needs and financial realities.

To understand this mindset better, I talked to both wealthy and middle-class individuals. The responses from the wealthy were expected-they believe they have every right to buy expensive items because they can afford them. For them, branded fashion is a way to stand out at events and gatherings.

However, what surprised me were the responses from middle-class individuals. They admitted that branded items are beyond their financial reach, yet they still sacrifice their necessities just to feel socially accepted and treated equally. This struggle for recognition makes them overlook their priorities, pushing them into unnecessary financial burdens.

Instead of blindly following these expensive trends, why not strive to become a brand yourself? Instead of spending recklessly on luxury, work towards building your name and your success so that one day, others look up to you. It might seem tough, but trust me, it's possible!
