Doha, Qatar: Nasheedio, an innovative AI-powered audio streaming platform designed for the global Muslim community, made its debut at the Web Summit Qatar 2025, held from February 23 to 26.

The event, which drew over 25,000 innovators and investors, including more than 1,500 exhibiting startups, provided an ideal platform for Nasheedio to highlight its mission: to offer a streaming service that aligns with Islamic values while empowering Muslim content creators.

Nasheedio offers a wide range of nasheeds, podcasts, and educational content, all created to adhere to Islamic principles. The platform provides users with a safe space to enjoy content without worrying about inappropriate material. The app is designed for Muslims who seek content in line with their beliefs, as well as those tired of seeing vulgar or inappropriate material on other streaming platforms.

Speaking to The Peninsula on the sideline of the event, Lucy Amanda, the CEO and Adviser of Nasheedio, shared that the app has already reached 170,000 downloads since launching on the Play Store in September 2024, and now has over 760,000 active users.

“It's our debut exhibiting the brand and the company in the MENA region. Our goal is to reach 500,000 downloads by the end of Ramadan. There are over two billion Muslims in the world, but realistically, if by the end of Ramadan we get 500,000 downloads, we'd be over the moon,” she said.

Amanda explained that Nasheedio was created to offer a platform where Muslim audiences can find content they trust.“There are platforms out there that offer Islamic content, but it's often mixed with other types of material. We wanted to create a space where parents can be sure the content is clean, with no musical instruments and vulgarity.”

The app has been well received, with users praising it for filling a gap in the market, and creators also expressing excitement about having a platform where their content aligns with their values.

“Users are coming to us saying they're so happy that someone has built this for the Muslim community, and on the creator side, we're seeing an influx of creators who had previously refused to post their content on platforms such as Spotify or YouTube because it didn't align with their values. Now, they're finding a home for all that type of content,” Amanda told The Peninsula.

Although Nasheedio is primarily designed for Muslim audiences, Amanda stressed that it's open to everyone.“The app is for everyone, whether Muslim or not. In fact, it's a great resource for non-Muslims who are curious about Islam. We offer educational content about Islam's values, as well as podcasts on business and other topics that can appeal to a wider audience.”

Currently, Nasheedio is free for users, with plans for premium subscriptions and other revenue streams in the works.“We're working on introducing premium features in the coming months, but for now, the app remains completely free,” Amanda explained.
