IDEX Next_Gen Announces Winners Of 2025 Competition, Showcasing Breakthrough Defence Innovations
(MENAFN- Mid-East Info) The International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) 2025, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, concluded the IDEX Next_Gen competition today with the announcement of this year's winners, recognizing the most pioneering defence and security startups.
Sinaha Technology secured first prize, followed by Crescent Aerospace Aircraft Spare Parts and Components Trading LLC in second place, and Broswarm in third. The awards were presented by Saeed Al Mansoori, Advisor for Defence Exhibitions at ADNEC Group, and Mona Al Jaber, Chairwoman of the Emirates Defense Companies Council (EDCC).
Following a rigorous evaluation by an esteemed panel of industry experts, based on criteria such as ideation, communication, commercialization, team structure, and market potential, Sinaha Technology won the top prize for its suite of autonomous solutions, including Robotruck, UAV-based services, and remote control systems. An Abu Dhabi-based startup, Sinaha Technology specializes in fully autonomous, electric-powered technologies designed for 24/7 operation, real-time data transfer, and efficient surveillance, inspection, and gas detection applications. The company's UAV-based services provide comprehensive and customizable monitoring solutions tailored to diverse business needs.

The second prize was awarded to Crescent Aerospace Aircraft Spare Parts and Components Trading LLC for its high-value satellite components and aerospace actuators, which address a critical gap in the local market. The company specializes in sourcing and developing advanced components such as Antenna Pointing Mechanisms, Solar Array Drive Assemblies, Space Actuators, Solar Array Development Actuators, Laser Communication Rotation Mechanisms, and Thrust Orientation Mechanisms. These technologies enhance aerospace efficiency and reliability, enabling organizations to develop proprietary systems. Broswarm secured third place for its X-Ray Eagle, a groundbreaking technology that utilizes a miniaturized synthetic radar system to enhance resolution. With a proprietary spatial reconstruction algorithm, the system significantly improves depth perception and object differentiation. Equipped with land-penetrating sensors capable of detecting underground objects at varying depths and sizes, the X-Ray Eagle has wide-ranging applications in archaeology, mining, disaster management and security operations. The technology can also be mounted on various drones to enhance surveillance capabilities. IDEX Next_Gen, a dedicated platform for emerging defence and security innovators, provided startups with the opportunity to present their cutting-edge technologies to industry leaders, military officials, and key decision-makers. The competition reinforced IDEX's role as a global hub for advanced defence technology, identifying breakthrough solutions with the potential to reshape the sector. Of the nine participating companies, five were shortlisted including Sinaha Technology, Crescent Aerospace Aircraft, Broswarm, Skyworks – Telearmy, and Smart Audio Technologies. Each startup showcased groundbreaking solutions in autonomous defence systems, AI-driven communication technologies, aerospace advancements, and next-generation surveillance systems. Organized by ADNEC Group in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, IDEX 2025 runs from 17 to 21 February at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Now in its 17th edition, this year's event is the largest in its history, bringing together leading global defence companies and innovators to showcase the latest advancements across land, air, sea, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence domains.
