Prime Minister Discusses Latest Developments In Beirut With Lebanese Counterpart

Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received a phone call from HE Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of the sisterly Lebanese Republic.

During the call, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, and discussed the latest developments in Lebanon, especially with regard to the ceasefire agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli Occupation forces from Lebanese territory, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

During the call, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm and supportive stance towards the Lebanese Republic, stressing the unity and territorial integrity of Lebanon, and the State of Qatar's continued support for the brotherly Lebanese people.

His Excellency also stressed support for the efforts made by the new Lebanese government in the development and economic fields, pointing to the importance of full commitment to implementing the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, and the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from all Lebanese territories.
