Srinagar- Former Imam of Dargah Hazratbal, Dr. Mufti Kamal Farooqi, has refuted reports claiming that he threatened legal action against the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board if he is not reinstated.
He alleged that certain“Facebook hawkers,” lacking journalistic ethics, had distorted his statement.
ADVERTISEMENTFarooqi clarified that he was accused of converting a non-Kashmiri youth to Islam but was exonerated by the court after the individual in question voluntarily affirmed that he embraced Islam of his own free will.
