Applications Open For Zayed Sustainability Prize

(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) São Paulo – The Zayed Sustainability Prize has opened registrations for its 2026 edition on Monday (10). Created to promote innovative solutions in areas that enhance people's quality of life, the Zayed Sustainability Prize will distribute USD 5.9 million to the winners.

The prize was created 17 years ago. Since then, the organizers said in a release, the solutions presented have already benefited 400 million people in various countries and communities. Small and medium-sized enterprises, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions can compete in six categories: Health, Food, Water, Energy, Climate Action, and High Schools.

Each category awards US$ 1 million to the winning institution. The High Schools category rewards US$ 150,000 to schools divided into six geographical regions. In 2024, the prize received 5,980 applications from institutions in 156 countries, including Brazil.

For the 2026 competition, participants must prove that their solutions are indeed improving the quality of life for people in the community where they were implemented and that they can be applied in the long term. The evaluation process of the applications is done in three stages. Applications in Portuguese can be submitted through this link . The award is an initiative of Erth Zayed Philanthropies. The winners will be announced at an event in early 2026.
