Emergency Power Outages To Remain In Place In Some Regions On Sunday

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the NPC Ukrenergo on Telegra.

“On February 8, hourly outage schedules and power limitation schedules (for industrial consumers) will be applied throughout the entire day,” the statement said.

The Ukrenergo noted that in certain regions, emergency power cuts will continue until the situation in the energy system stabilizes.

Energy workers are doing everything possible to return as quickly as possible to predictable scheduled outages in all regions.

The reason for the restrictions is the aftermath of Russian missile and drone attacks on the energy system.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 7, Russian strikes hit substations and 750 kV and 330 kV overhead power lines, which form the backbone of Ukraine's power grid, as well as the Burshtyn and Dobrotvir thermal power plants.
