Speaker of House of Representatives meets with Saudi Ambassador to Jordan
(MENAFN) On Sunday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Safadi, met with Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairy, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Jordan. During the meeting, both Safadi and Al-Sudairy reaffirmed the strong relations between the two kingdoms, highlighting the leadership of his majesty King Abdullah II, crown prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
Safadi expressed Jordan's unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and condemned any statements or actions that would harm the kingdom, emphasizing that the security of both countries is inseparable. He also thanked Saudi Arabia for rejecting any proposals to displace Palestinians to Jordan or Egypt. Safadi also rejected recent remarks made by the Israeli Prime Minister, which he said violated international law, calling for Arab and international parliaments to condemn such statements.
In response, the Saudi ambassador reiterated his country's commitment to supporting Jordan, particularly in rejecting the displacement of Palestinians. He stressed the importance of unity in defending Palestinian rights and working towards an independent Palestinian state. At the conclusion of the meeting, Safadi thanked the ambassador for his efforts to strengthen the relations between the two nations, while the ambassador expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah II, the Jordanian officials, and the people of Jordan for their warm hospitality throughout his tenure.
