Armenian Corner In Katara


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara inaugurated the Armenian Corner, in the attendance of Katara General Manager, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, and the consort of the Republic of Armenia's Prime Minister and "My Step" Foundation Executive Director, Anna Hakobyan.
Located near the Katara Poetry Council, the corner symbolizes the deep cultural and historical ties between Qatar and Armenia, showcase Armenia's artistic and literary heritage, and foster greater understanding. In his remarks, Dr al-Sulaiti welcomed Hakobyan's visit and said: "The Armenian Corner reflects the depth of our cultural relations and underscores Katara's mission to celebrate diversity and promote mutual understanding."
He added that the initiative aligns with Katara's vision of bridging cultures and showcasing the rich heritage of nations. For her part, Hakobyan expressed her admiration for Katara's cultural initiatives, stating,"Katara's dedication to fostering dialogue between civilizations is truly inspiring. The Cultural Village Katara stands as a testament to the power of art and culture in uniting people." The Armenian Corner features the artwork "Freedom from the shackles" by renowned artist Vanand Shiraz, a powerful piece that embodies humanity's enduring struggle for freedom and justice.
