NATO Military Committee Chairman In Kyiv: Supporting Ukraine In Alliance's Political, Military Interest
This was stated by the NATO Military Committee Chairman, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, in a video address recorded at Ukrinform.
Dragone emphasized that at this pivotal moment, Ukraine remains at the forefront of NATO's priorities.
Commenting on ways to support Ukraine, he mentioned the agreement to provide EUR 40 billion in security assistance concluded at the Washington Summit, noting that the Alliance is on track to deliver on this commitment.
Read also: NATO Military Committee Chairman Giuseppe Cavo arrives in KyivThe Admiral also noted the creation of the NATO Special Mission for Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine and the NATO Ukraine Joint Analysis Training and Education Center, as well as the establishment of the first-ever NATO-Ukraine Joint Center (JATEC), which seeks to jointly identify and take into account the lessons of Russia's brutal war of aggression.
“These lessons will help shape our understanding of warfare. They will be woven into NATO strategy and policy and will bolster interoperability. Above all, they support Ukraine in winning the war and maintaining its sovereignty,” the Chairman of the Military Committee assured.
“It is in the political and military interest of the Alliance to support Ukraine, not only now, but also in the future. You are fighting not only for your nation. You are fighting for your identity. And NATO stands with you. Our support for your sovereignty and territorial integrity will remain unwavering.,” Dragone added, emphasizing that“together, we can put Ukraine in the strongest possible position moving forward”.
