During a roundtable discussion with representatives of the agricultural and fishing sectors, the ministers discussed fish exports, reorientation to Western markets and environmental challenges.

They also emphasized the importance of sharing experiences in growing and processing crops, supporting organic production, and new opportunities for Ukrainian farmers through cooperation with European associations.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian delegation clarified the misconceptions surrounding the potential impact of domestic agricultural exports on European markets.

Koval underscored that Ukraine's role is not to create competition, but rather to bolster the EU's food security and promote trade that is beneficial to all parties involved.

“The European integration of the Ukrainian agricultural sector is not only about entering new markets, but also about implementing European standards, attracting investment and developing our producers. We are working to ensure that Ukrainian farmers have more opportunities to trade with the EU, expand their exports and become part of the European market,” the Ukrainian minister concluded.

As reported, in Odesa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Restoration, Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba and Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Estonia Vladimir Svet signed a memorandum of understanding to implement the plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine's maritime industry.
