According to the official, communication is important for developing a common position with partners, because it is impossible to form any plans for achieving peace without Ukraine at the table.
"I have already had a phone call with the National Security Advisor to the President of the United States of America, Michael Waltz. Contacts with other members of the Donald Trump administration are expected. I emphasized that Ukraine should approach negotiations on establishing a just and lasting peace from a strong position. Security guarantees are also needed, which is currently one of the topics of all conversations with partners," he added.
The President's Office chief underlined the need for Ukraine to receive strong guarantees that could prevent the recurrence of Russia's aggression. He noted that Russia is not a country that respects international law and human rights, so no solutions will work if they are not backed and reaffirmed by reliable security guarantees.
