UAE To Invest 30-50 Bln Euros In Building Mega AI Data Center In France

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, Feb 6 (KUNA) - The United Arab Emirates has hammered out an agreement with France to build a giant AI data center in France with investments range between 30-50 billion euros, the French BMF TV reported quoting the Elysee. The agreement was signed Thursday evening in Paris in the presence of French President Emmanuel macron and his Emirati counterpart Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The center, whose precise location has yet to be decided, will be developed by a consortium of French-Emirati companies and in particular by the UAE's MGX investment fund.
The French government announced Thursday morning that it had selected 35 sites for hosting AI data centers. These data centers store data and provide the enormous computing capacities required by artificial intelligence, a very energy-intensive technology. (end) mao
