Baghdad, Tehran Discuss Coordination For Boosting Security, Stability


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani and Iranian Vice President for strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed on Thursday the latest regional developments and the importance of a unified stance that supports security and stability of both nations.
Media office of the Iraqi Prime Minister stated that both sides covered bilateral relations, and ways of strengthening them with cooperation in many fields.
The statement also added, Al-Sudani called for strengthening of relations and coordination regarding the developments and challenges faced in the region, to pave way for more cooperative dialogue on the regional and international levels in order to find the appropriate solutions for the cases and crisis in the region.
On his part, Zarif expressed his government's interest in coordination and cooperation regarding various developments and challenges.
Zarif had previously met with Iraqi President Abdula-Latif Rashid who also called for the importance of dialogue and finding a solution for the cases and crisis the region is facing. (end)
