56Th Cairo International Book Fair Concludes With Remarkable Qatari Participation

Cairo: The 56th Cairo International book Fair concluded on Wednesday, with the State of Qatar having recorded its largest-ever engagement in the prestigious cultural event.

Qatari publications demonstrated the country's identity and heritage across pavilions for the Ministry of Culture, the International Quran Contemplation Organization, the Qatar Police Academy and Dar Al Watad, Dar Rosa, and Katara publishing Houses.

The Qatari booths have garnered a wide turnout from the exhibition goers and at the official level, with Egypt's Minister of Culture HE Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano paying a visit to the Ministry of Culture's pavilion.

In the same context, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Cairo Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari toured the Qatari booths. His Excellency told Qatar News Agency (QNA) the pavilions presented distinguished cultural and literary publications that reflect the State of Qatar's contributions to enriching the Arab cultural scene and boosting cultural ties among Arab peoples.

Furthermore, he appreciated the selection of the State of Qatar as the guest of honour for the 58th session of the Cairo International Book Fair scheduled for 2027.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority Dr. Ahmed Bahi El Din praised, in a statement to QNA, Qatar's huge participation in the Fair's activities, highlighting that Doha will deliver a further added value to the event when it takes part in 2027 as a guest of honour.
