Qatar Hosts Meeting To Inscribe 'Sanbuk' On UNESCO Heritage List
Doha: Doha hosted yesterday the second coordination meeting to inscribe Sanbuk (traditional wooden dhow) on the Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
The meeting, held by the Ministry of Culture from February 4 to 6, brings together representatives and experts of 13 Arab countries working on preparing the final draft of the Arab-backed file.
Addressing the meeting, the Ministry of Culture's Director of Heritage and Identity Department Sheikha Najla bint Faisal Al Thani hailed the file as a manifestation of unity and support for the unified Arab heritage.
