PM, Qatari Minister Discuss Humanitarian Cooperation, Gaza Aid

Amman, February 4 (Petra) – Prime Minister Jafar Hassan met on Tuesday with Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad to discuss bilateral relations and humanitarian efforts for Gaza.
The meeting underscored the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Qatar and explored avenues to enhance cooperation across various sectors. Discussions focused on strengthening existing coordination to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and shelter aid to Palestinians in Gaza, aiming to alleviate their suffering and improve their living and health conditions.
Hassan reaffirmed Jordan's commitment, under the directives and close supervision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to continuing its humanitarian and medical assistance to Gaza. He emphasized that Jordan stands ready to utilize its capabilities to support friendly nations in delivering aid, commending Qatar's efforts in this regard.
For her part, Al Misnad expressed appreciation for Jordan's role in securing the delivery of Qatari aid, highlighting the recent launch of an air bridge from Jordan. She also referenced the agreement signed between the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and Qatar Charity to provide logistical support for the entry of Qatari humanitarian aid through Jordan.
