Israeli occupation forces continue their aggressive actions against city of Jenin

(MENAFN) The Israeli Occupation forces have continued their aggressive actions against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the thirteenth consecutive day. This ongoing operation has resulted in 25 martyrs, numerous injuries, arrests, and extensive damage to property and infrastructure. On Sunday morning, 73-year-old Walid al-Lahlouh was killed by an Israeli sniper at the entrance to Jenin camp, while another citizen was shot in the thigh in the Jabriyat neighborhood. On Saturday, five individuals, including a child, were killed in Jenin's eastern neighborhood and in the town of Qabatiya. The victims included child Ahmed Al-Saadi, Nour Al-Saadi, Tammam Al-Saadi, Saleh Zakarneh, and Abed Alawneh.

The Israeli forces continue to reinforce their presence in Jenin, particularly from the Jalameh military checkpoint. Meanwhile, demolitions continue in several areas of the Jenin camp. The occupation also forced residents of the Al-Safa building to vacate their homes, converting them into military barracks. Approximately 15,000 people have been displaced by the ongoing operation, with many of them relocated to surrounding villages and towns. Hospitals in Jenin, such as Al-Madaniya, are facing severe water shortages due to targeted destruction of water lines, leaving around 35% of the city's residents without access to water.

Nearly 100 homes in the Jenin refugee camp have been completely demolished, contributing to widespread infrastructure damage. In response to the ongoing violence, the Ministry of Education announced that public and private schools and kindergartens in Jenin city and camp will hold electronic sessions, while schools in other towns and villages will operate as usual. The towns of Qabatiya and the Triangle of Martyrs will have Sunday as a task day, with hours to be compensated on Thursday.
