Ukrainian Air Defense Forces Destroyed Over 600 Enemy Targets In Week


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) During the week, the air defense of the armed forces of Ukraine shot down 637 drones and missiles fired by Russian invaders on the territory of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on facebook .

In particular, during the week of February 3-9, more than one guided missile, 408 Shahed-type strike UAVs, 108 reconnaissance UAVs and 120 other types of UAVs were shot down.

Over the past week, the tactical Aviation of the Air Force flew more than 100 sorties: 68 to provide fighter air cover, 27 to provide fire support and air support for troops, and 8 to provide air reconnaissance.

Air Force pilots conducted dozens of air strikes on enemy positions with bombs and missiles of various types. Control points, areas of concentration of equipment and manpower were hit.

Over the past week, the servicemen of the Combined Arms Rifle Brigade of the Air Force conducted: 250 UAV reconnaissance flights, 54 FPV drone strikes on shelters and other enemy targets.

Ukraine's Armed Forces used 63 drones and FPV drones. As a result, 80 Russian soldiers, 4 units of special equipment, 17 shelters and positions of the Russians were eliminated.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, over the past week, Russia has used 1,260 air bombs , almost 750 attack drones and more than 10 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
