Cold Wave Grips Khyber Pakhtunkhwa As Temperatures Plummet To -6°C In Mountainous Areas


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Peshawar: A cold and dry spell has gripped most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , with temperatures plunging to -6°C in the mountainous regions due to continuous snowfall.

According to the Meteorological Department , cold and dry weather is expected to persist across the province, while Swat , Shangla , Kohistan , Mansehra , Battagram , Torghar , and Bajaur may experience cloudy skies with chances of light rain and further snowfall in the highlands .

In the provincial capital Peshawar , the temperature was recorded at 6°C . Meanwhile, Kalam saw the mercury drop to -6°C , Malam Jabba recorded -2°C , and Upper Dir , Chitral , and Parachinar each experienced lows of -3°C .
