Critical Infrastructure In Occupied Luhansk Region Worn Down By Nearly 80% Lysohor

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The critical infrastructure in the Russian-occupied territories of the Luhansk region has been in a state of disrepair for 11 years, with wear and tear levels reaching approximately 80%, according to Artem Lysohor, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

Lysohor announced this on Telegram , Ukrinform reports.

"After nearly 11 years of occupation, even the so-called 'LNR government' acknowledges that the region's housing and utilities infrastructure is in a critical state. The average deterioration rate of essential infrastructure now stands at around 80%," Lysohor wrote.

He stressed that this figure does not account for the destruction caused by Russian forces in 2022 during offensives on Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Kreminna, Hirske, Zolote, and Popasna.

Since 2014, Russian occupiers have made no efforts to carry out major repairs or install new equipment, despite continuing to collect monthly payments from residents and businesses for water, electricity, gas, and heating services.
