Musk claims Biden committed ‘treason’
(MENAFN) Elon Musk has accused US President Joe Biden of "treason" for allowing illegal immigration to surge and for selling materials meant for the construction of the US-Mexico border wall. The accusation follows a report that Biden’s administration auctioned off supplies originally intended for the wall project, which was started during Donald Trump's presidency but halted by Biden. Musk’s comment came after an online user criticized Biden's border policies, calling them “treasonous,” to which Musk responded, “100% treason.”
Biden initially focused on reversing Trump's border policies, including stopping the wall’s construction. However, as illegal immigration increased, Biden introduced stricter measures, such as limiting asylum requests when daily crossings reach a certain threshold. The debate over the border wall materials intensified when it was revealed that these supplies were sold off by the government. The Biden administration argued that they were surplus and costly to store, but Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit to halt further sales, securing a temporary injunction. The case remains ongoing as Trump prepares to return to office.
