Iraq Calls For Relieving The Wrecked Health Sector In Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Soudani on Thursday called for doubling efforts to relieve the wrecked health sector in Gaza.
Al-Soudani, in a statement inaugurating the 61st session of the Arab health ministerial council, underscored the moral and humanitarian responsibilities for following up on the deteriorated health conditions in the strip.
Efforts must be geared up to alter the painful health situation that hurt the Palestinians' dignity, he said noting the Gazans' double-weight plight of lacking medical care and suffering under the occupation siege.
He also called for standing with the Syrian people "who have reached a hard juncture," amid dire humanitarian needs.
Baghdad hosted today a meeting of the executive office of the Arab health council and 61st session of the council. (end)
