Terrorist Attack On FC Check Post In Kurram Leaves 6 Soldiers Dead, 7 Injured

Kurram: A terrorist attack on an FC check post near Bagan claimed the lives of six personnel from the Thall Scouts and left seven others injured.
According to sources, the deceased soldiers were shifted to Thall, identified as Naib Subedar Khalique Bangash, Havaldar Jadeed Orakzai, Lance Naik Wilayat Hussain Turi, Lance Naik Shaheed Rehman, Sepoy Nizamuddin Mehsud, and Sepoy Safatullah Afridi. The injured include Havaldar Swab Gul Khattak, Naik Saeed Khan Khattak, Naik Abid Hussain Khattak, Lance Naik Tahir Bangash, Sepoy Aamir Sohail Afridi, Sepoy Tayyab Rehman, and Tauheedullah Marwat, who were transported to CMH Thall for treatment.

This incident comes amidst ongoing tensions in Kurram. On November 21, a deadly attack on a passenger convoy in Parachinar killed 45 people, including women and children. Subsequent violent protests and armed clashes have resulted in a total of 133 fatalities and over 200 injuries.
Despite these challenges, the Pashtun National Jirga recently negotiated an indefinite ceasefire between rival factions, with both sides agreeing to vacate trenches until a final resolution.
Separately, in Bannu's Domel area, unidentified assailants fatally shot police officer Abdul Saboor Khan near Pakistan Chowk. The officer, employed in police investigations, was on his way to the office when the attack occurred.
