Bahraini Amb. Praises Initiative Of Abdulrahman Kanoo Club Visit To Kuwait

KUWAIT, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Ambassador to Kuwait Ambassador Salah Al-Maliki praised on Saturday the initiative that allowed members of Abdulrahman Kanoo Social Club for Parents Care to visit Kuwait, stressing its role in strengthening bilateral ties.
Ambassador Al-Maliki's statement to KUNA came on the occasion of the conclusion of the visit made by members of the club to Kuwait, which was an initiative of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with the support of Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah and ministry officials.
Ambassador Al-Maliki stressed the depth of the unique and distinguished relations between the two countries, noting that these ties depict the concept of one family that is united by cohesion, kinship, and sincere and distinguished love in prosperity and adversity.
He praised the role and support of the wise political leadership of the two countries, appreciating the generous initiative of the visit made by Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Al-Sabah.
He explained the importance of the initiative and its role in bringing "joy and happiness to our brothers and fathers of great respect" through their visit to their second country, Kuwait, for which they hold all love and appreciation to its leadership and people.
Al-Maliki said that the club members included men who had a fundamental role in building their families and homelands, and defended unified Gulf, adding that some of them had participated in the liberation war of Kuwait, some were teachers, and some were loyal employees.
He noted the care given by the governments of Bahrain and Kuwait to this group and the support and participation of civil societies and clubs to provide all means and capabilities to serve them.
Ambassador Al-Maliki expressed his thanks to the leadership, government and people of Kuwait for all the support, assistance and appreciation for the great love they always express on every occasion towards the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
President of Hamad Town Charitable Society and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kanoo Club Yousef Al-Mahmeed confirmed, in a previous statement to KUNA, that the three-day trip would strengthen cooperation and integration between the peoples of the GCC countries in the field of elderly care and discuss the latest aspirations in this field.
He stressed that Kuwait is one of the leading countries in the field of elderly care through its centers and care homes, in addition to its interest in various fields, including disability and childhood.
He appreciated the interest of the Minister of Social Affairs and officials in informing the visiting Bahraini delegation about Kuwait's experience in caring for and serving the elderly.
A delegation from Abdulrahman Kanoo Social Club for Parents Care in Bahrain visited Kuwait on Thursday to learn about Kuwait's experience in the field of elderly care.
The visit was in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, and Kuwait Embassy in Bahrain, represented by Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. (end)
