BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 23. Prime Minister
of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Chairperson of
the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Türkiye Erol Özvar
on September 23, the statement of the press service of the Cabinet
of Ministers of the Republic said, Trend reports.
The meeting expressed satisfaction with the successful
development of relations of strategic partnership and alliance
between the two countries in all spheres.
Furthermore, the dynamics of relations in the field of education
were emphasized, and the results of long-term effective cooperation
between higher education institutions and research centers of the
two countries were assessed. The establishment of the
Turkish-Azerbaijani University (TAU) was highlighted, and it was
noted that the universities participating in the project are the
leading higher education institutions of the two countries.
According to the results of admission to TAU, which started
functioning in the 2024/2025 academic year, about 90 students will
study here in computer engineering, industrial engineering, and
food engineering.
The meeting discussed current issues related to the activities
of the Turkish-Azerbaijani University, as well as prospects for the
development of cooperation in the field of science and education
between the two countries.
The Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Emin
Amrullayev, as well as rectors of leading higher education
institutions in Türkiye and the rector of Azerbaijan Technical
University, took part in the meeting.
